Bereavement and Cemetery Services
The Authority offers burials in four Cemeteries within the Borough. These are located at:
- Beach Road, Fleetwood,
- Moorland Road, Poulton-Le-Fylde
- Garstang Road East, Poulton-Le-Fylde
- Cemetery Lane, Preesall
In our very busy lives of today it is hard to find time to visit the graves of our loved ones but the beautiful surroundings of the local cemeteries is a place of rest and tranquillity that can be appreciated by everyone.
When a loved one leaves this life there are so many difficult decisions to take. However, whether it is burial or cremation you choose, there are many people who can help you in making these decisions. The Wyre Borough Bereavement and Cemetery Services Section can help in whichever choice you make with requests for any of the following:
- Burial or Burial of Cremated Remains
- Interments of Cremated Remains within a Wall Niche
- Strewing of Cremated Remains within the Rose Garden of Remembrance
- Memorial Garden of Remembrance for babies
The Cemetery Registrars based within the Civic Centre, at Poulton undertake the administration and management for the cemeteries. We aim to provide the highest maintenance standard throughout our four cemeteries and ensure that a caring, supportive and sensitive service is provided to those who are experiencing the pain of bereavement
