Poulton Moorland Road Cemetery
Moorland Road Cemetery has been open since 1884 with the first burial taking place on 8th December 1884. It is a small picturesque cemetery which can no longer provide new graves.
However, in 1973 a Columbarium Wall of Remembrance (as pictured) was built in which cremated remains can be placed. These are called wall niches and many families who have a full grave space within the Cemetery choose this as an alternative so that the whole family can still be together. This option is available to any bereaved family.
Wall Niches can also be pre-paid and reserved for future use. Please refer to the Memorial Fees page for further information.
For protection, the gates to this cemetery are locked over night to prevent vehicle access. If you encounter any problems with access, please do not hesitate to contact the Council
