Thanks to the National History Society we have a listing of all the memorial inscriptions from headstones sited within the older sections of the cemetery.
The development of a new cremated remains area provided an additional 185 grave spaces for up to six caskets in each. The remaining land within the cemetery is designated for Church of England burials. This was Consecrated with an official ceremony performed by the Bishop of Lancaster in April 2002 (as pictured).
There is a map of the Cemetery on the Chapel Wall to assist you in locating Sections. However the Grounds Maintenance staff will be only too pleased to help with any query regarding locating a particular grave space number
