Wyre's online planning services include:

The main aim of the Planning Service is to facilitate high quality, sustainable and appropriate development and to maintain and improve the borough's environment through the development and implementation of the council's planning policies.

Planning Applications, Conservation and Planning Enforcement matters are dealt with by the Development Control Team. Meet The Development Control Team.

The Planning Policy Team is responsible for formulating the council's planning policies, including the Local Plan and the emerging Local Development Framework.

Administration support to the Planning Service is provided by the Planning Administration Section. The Office Manager is Lynda Green. Meet the rest of the Planning Administration Team.

The Planning Reception Desk

Planning Services has a reception desk on the ground floor of the Civic Centre. The desk is open for planning enquiries between 8.30 a.m. and 5.00 p.m., Monday to Friday. You can also buy various planning documents at the reception desk on these days.

A planning officer will normally be available to speak to you, but if you wish to speak to a particular officer it is best to make an appointment in case they are on site or out of the office for other reasons.

We have facilities for you to inspect planning applications and other publications and our staff are also available to discuss your enquiries. If you find it difficult to get to the Civic Centre, we can arrange to visit you at home.
