PSA1, Fire and Road Safety Group

The PSA1, Fire and Road Safety Group is a sub group of the Wyre Community Safety Partnership.

Membership of this group includes the following organisations:

The group works to the following targets:

  • Reduce all crime by 15%
  • To decrease the % of people who think that vandalism, graffiti and other deliberate damage to property or vehicles to be a very big or fairly big problem in their local area
  • To increase the anti-social behaviour incidents (per 1000 population) as recorded by police
  • To decrease the % of people who perceive anti social behaviour to be a problem
  • To decrease the incidents of criminal damage
  • To decrease the number of deliberate secondary fires
  • To decrease the number of deliberate primary fires
  • To decrease the number of deaths and injuries arising from accidental fires in dwellings
  • To decrease the number of people killed or seriously injured in road traffic collisions
  • To decrease the number of motorcyclist casualties in road traffic collisions

Stretch Target

  • To increase the number of residents who say they feel fairly safe or very safe a) after dark, b) after dark in the town centre
  • To decrease the number of sites for a) litter & debris b) graffiti c) fly-posting d) fly-tipping
