Events and Activities at Poulton Community YMCA

A variety of daily, weekly and monthly activities are on offer all year round. These include line dancing, karate, toddler group, Tumble Tots, dance classes, gymnastics, thighs, tums and bums, pilates and YMCA fitness programme.

Events and Activities at Frank Townend Community Centre

Daily, weekly and monthly activities at the centre include: Cleveleys Taekwondo Club, Bridge Club, Craft Club, Various Art Classes, Ladies Club, Yoga Class, Psychic Club, Maths & English Classes, RSPB Bird Meetings, Children’s Street Dance & Freestyle (Mondays) from 6pm and Adults Salsa, Merengue, Mambo (Mondays) from 8pm. Art Exhibition
Thursday 3rd July 2008 - Friday 1st August 2008
Held at the new exhibition area at The Village Walks, rear Teanlow Centre, Poulton-le-Fylde. The work is from the graduation exhibition at Blackpool Art School, by several artists and includes a wide range of subjects from people and their locality, teenage pregnancy, a woman's relationship with her shoes, the urbanisation of our planet and the threat of global warming. Open Monday to Saturday 9am - 5pm.

YMCA Soccer School with optional multi-sports
Monday 21st July 2008 - Friday 29th August 2008
Soccer school will run week long, alternating between Thornton YMCA and Cardinal Allen High School, Fleetwood. Time: 9.30am - 3.30pm each day. Multi-sports include dodgeball, kwik cricket and basketball. Cost: £11 per day, per child or £50 per week. Suitable for children aged 4 - 12 years.

Holiday Activities at Garstang Leisure YMCA

Children's activities to keep them entertained and make new friends Monday to Friday. Good exercise and lots of fun, try out new games and a fun swim too. Time: 8.30am - 4.30pm each day. Cost: £10 per day, £6.50 per half day, £40 for a full week.

Freeport Fleetwood Bowling Festival
Monday 21st July 2008 - Friday 25th July 2008
Annual bowling competition in the seaside resort of Fleetwood played on the Marine Gardens and Memorial Park greens. Entry forms are available from the Marine Hall by calling the telephone number below or by logging onto www.marinehall.co.uk. Completed forms should be returned to the Marine Hall by 31 May 2008.

Junior and Family Bowling Events (part of Freeport Fleetwood Bowling Festival)

"Bowls for All" takes place at Marine Gardens, Fleetwood from 10am - 12.30pm. From 10am - 11am, children are invited to bring an adult to have a go at crown green bowling, then at 11am there will be doubles matches with teams of 2, consisting of 1 child and 1 adult. Cost: FREE. Official Festival Junior Bowling event takes place from 1.30pm - 4pm approx. for children up to the age of 16 years. FREE entry.

Poulton Happy Days Holiday Club

Exciting and fun filled days for 4 - 14 year olds with activities such as arts and crafts, dance and drama, sports, themed parties and events, trips out and much more! Venue: Adult Education Centre, next to Carr Head School and Happy Days Nursery, Poulton-le-Fylde. Time: 7am - 6pm every day, Monday to Friday. Cost: £18 for full day, £10 for half day. Walkin' Wyre Health Walk
