British Pie Week

Monday 1st March 2010 - Sunday 7th March 2010
Join us at Barton Grange Garden Centre, Brock as we celebrate the national institution that is the great British Pie!
Come along to our Farm Shop between 11am and 3pm all week and sample the delights of locally produced Carefoot’s Pies from Longridge. Made with meat from local livestock and the freshest of ingredients, Carefoots pies are a real favourite amongst our customers. And now you can find out why.
Steve Morley, our pastry chef will also be doing Pie Making demonstrations in our Cook Shop on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th March at 12 noon and 2pm, using Carefoot’s ingredients.

Come and Sing - Olivet to Calvary

THE HAMSTERS PLAY JIMI HENDRIX & ZZ TOP

The guitar, bass and drums trio THE HAMSTERS have long been established as one of our premier Blues-Rock attractions, having performed over 4,000 concerts in 23 years. Although usually playing their own brand of rootsy Rock, Blues and Americana - tonight they'll be performing two sets of JIMI HENDRIX and ZZ TOP songs, for which they're also widely regarded as being the UK's leading interpreters.
The band's guitarist/singer Slim had a new interview in Guitarist Magazine recently, and the lads have just released a new 3-hour double live DVD, titled 'Curse Of The Killer Hamsters!'

International Travel & Holidays Association Talk

Wednesday 10th March 2010
The Association meets at 7.30pm approximately every fortnight usually on a Wednesday night from October to May, at the Concert Hall, Blackpool Sixth Form College. The meetings consist of travel talks with slides, provided by both local speakers and speakers who are professional authors, broadcasters, photographers and travellers. Annual membership is £10 and visitors may pay on the door for a fee of £3 per meeting. Tonight's talk is "Let's Go to Chile." A tour by June & Ken Hall.

"Grow Your Own" Weekend

Vernal Equinox Walk
